Is Creatine Safe?

Indeed, creatine is unquestionably the most popular sports supplement of all time. Although its significance has been known for over two decades, only recently has its ergogenic effect been assessed. Numerous studies indicate creatine supplementation coalesced with a highly vigorous resistant training regimen will ultimately elevate muscular strength and fat-free mass. However, does the ingestion of this amine (nitrogen compound) pose any health risks or side affects? To this date, the research in this field is limited but minor side effects have been observed such as nausea, neurological dysfunction, minor gastrointestinal distress, and muscle cramping.
